Western Region Jubilee in Bellevue, Washington
On June 17th a wonderful retreat day for the Jubilarians was led by Sister Kathleen Pruitt. This day was a reflection on the lives of our Jubilarians.
Our Jubilarians this year were: Sister Helen Haigh celebrating 75 years, Sisters Connie Krieger and Mary Powers celebrating 70 years, and Sisters Betty Kane, Sheila Lemieux, and Carmel Little celebrating 60 years as Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace.
On June 22nd we celebrated Mass led by Father William Heric. The Jubilee Theme was “God is Gracious”. The homily was given by Sister Carmel Little. Sister Louise Dumont was remembered as she would have celebrated 75 years but died in February.
Following Mass, a celebration of delicious hors d'oeuvres and drinks were served preceding a wonderful dinner prepared by our kitchen staff.
We thank each of the wonderful women for their years of dedication and service to the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace and to the People of God.
