On February 25, 2026, the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace issued a press statement regarding its shareholder proposal filed in December 2025 asking Palantir to conduct and publish a Human Rights Impact Assessment (HRIA).
Lenten Retreats for Young Adults
The Congregation of Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace invites young adults ages 18-40 to step back from the noise of daily life and enter a season of reflection. Congregation Endows Nursing Scholarship
Following Mass of Thanksgiving celebrating the 100th anniversary of our sponsored ministry, Holy Name Medical Center, the Congregation Leadership Team announced a $2 million gift to Holy Name's Sister Claire Tynan School of Nursing. The donation will endow the Mother Agatha Browne Spirit of Holy Name Scholars Program, which will provide direct support for students pursuing degrees as registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.

In recent weeks, some media and far-right groups have spread false and inflammatory claims about the Schools of Sanctuary programme. These misrepresentations are consciously inflammatory, and they are dangerous for schools, families, and local communities. They seek to divide and to cause conflict where schools are working so hard to build peace.

2025 Jubilees in the UK
It was with delight that the sisters and associates in the UK Region were able to gather on Tuesday, 17 June at Rothley Court Hotel in Leicestershire to give thanks and celebrate the lives of our Jubilarians of 2025. This year Sister Bridget Rhattigan celebrated 75 years as a CSJP, and Sisters Margaret Byrne and Kathleen Delaney each celebrated their Platinum Jubilees, 70 years of Religious Life.

In keeping with our Chapter commitment to resist every form of violence and our Congregation Statement to welcome immigrants and refugees, the Congregation Leadership Team of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace expresses profound concern regarding the intimidation tactics employed by paramilitary forces claiming to represent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) against vulnerable and marginalized populations. As religious women and lay associates committed to peace and justice, we firmly endorse nonviolent resistance against threats targeting immigrant communities throughout the United States. We express deep appreciation for those who continue organizing nonviolent actions, prayer vigils, and demonstrations supporting immigrant communities nationwide.
Welcoming Pope Leo XIV
With grateful hearts, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace welcome the newly elected Pope Leo XIV. We are delighted that his first words as Pope were, “Peace be with all of you!.” Likewise, our hearts are warmed by his choice of name.

Remember in Prayer - Pope Francis
We give thanks for the life of Pope Francis, a true man of peace who passed away this morning on Easter Monday in Rome. He had a deep love for the Church, the people of God, and Earth our common home. Pope Francis reached out across human divides, called us to care for creation, and built paths to peace. We were indeed blessed with his leadership these 12 years.
