Land Ethic: A Covenant of Peace with Earth

Our Land Ethic, as an expression of the CSJP charism in terms of our desired relationship with the Land, calls us to a Covenant of Peace with Earth. We are pleased to share our Land Ethic as well as practical questions and resources that can be used by individual, organizations, and communities.

Clean Power & Climate Statement

The Leadership Team of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace (CSJP) issued a statement to President Trump, to be shared with other elected officials objecting to the President’s executive order overriding the Clean Power Plan that would have moved the U.S. towards meeting the goals set forth in the Paris Climate Agreement.

Associate Covenanting 2017

Associates of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace are people who live our spirit and mission in their different ways of life. Associates commit to an ongoing mutual relationship with CSJP Sisters and their charism of peace through justice by promoting peace in family life, in the Church, and in society. We join with people of peace in the United States and around the globe this day, praying for our democracy, our people and earth community, and our elected leaders.

The Calais Group Report to the Congregation

Four CSJPs, Sister Sheena George and Associates Donna Clifford, Bryan Johns, and Frank McCann, represented the Congregation at the refugee camp in Calais, France from the beginning of August through October. Read their report where they share their experience and what they learned and discerned in the "Jungle."
