With mighty whacks from the wrecking ball, the Bannan House swimming pool, built to last forever with tons of concrete and rebar, began to fall.

Demolition took out the top three feet of the pool; earlier work had created drainage holes in bottom and sides. Concrete and earth will fill the pool bottom; it will be covered by topsoil and sod.

Bill Grondal, foreman for Buchanan Construction, built a new ramp for access to the upper floor of Lourdes Hall. The front door will be inaccessible during much of the construction project.

Bill also built a new staircase to the greenhouse.
