Four Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace who contributed to the education of generations of Catholic children celebrated their Jubilees of religious profession on July 9th, 2007.  Sisters Rose Donohoe (celebrating 70 years of religious life), Margaret O’Neill (70 years), Elizabeth Sheehy (60 years) and Barb Kearney-Schupp (25 years) were honored in a Eucharistic Celebration on Saturday, June 9th, 2004, at Sacred Heart Church, Bellevue, Washington.

Fr. Peter Ely, SJ, who was taught by Sister Margaret O’Neill at St. Margaret’s School, Seattle, celebrated the Jubilee Mass and Sister Sheila Lemieux, Congregation Leader for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, reflected on the lives and witness of these Jubilarians in the context of scripture.

The Eucharistic celebration was followed by a wonderful party at St. Mary-on-the-Lake, Bellevue, with friends and family gathering for the celebration. While the June weather was not sunny, there were enough smiles to light the room.
