Spring Assembly came at its usual mid-March date this year, but it was also the weekend of Palm Sunday, which we enjoyed celebrating together. On Saturday we continued to work toward this summer's Chapter in New Jersey (when all three of our Provinces get together). On Saturday, we looked in small groups at some "hunches" about a proposal to become a "Congregation without Provinces." Feedback was very positive! Many of us enjoyed a special Saturday tour of our new Peace and Spirituality Center, which drew rave reviews. We blessed our 2008 Jubilarians and feasted with them in the traditional Jubilee dinner on Saturday evening. On Sunday morning we blessed Chapter Delegates and participants, and learned about work in progress in a number of areas. Throughout the weekend, friends re-connected - it was especially wonderful to visit with our two 2nd year novices, Sister Chero Chuma (currently in Bellevue on a three month ministry assignment) and Sister Susan Francois (living in Jersey City for her ministry experience). In a very special moment on Sunday, we welcomed Sukyi Hur as a Candidate for Vowed Membership.
