Blessing in chapel

The community blesses Cynthia at conclusion of ceremony of welcome.

We welcomed Cynthia Brown as a Candidate for Vowed Life on April 29, 2007. Cynthia, a native of Texas, works in a local telecommunication firm and has been exploring life with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace for about a year.

During the Candidacy period, Cynthia is living with a local community of Sisters on Capitol Hill, where she shares in the prayer life, community and chores of the house. She's said to be quite a chef!

As a Candidate, Cynthia meets regularly with her mentor, Sr. Margaret Shannon, and is studying Catholic religious life with Sr. Carmel Little as she continues to discern her call to a vowed commitment.
