Our Spring Assembly, Shaping the Future, called us to imagine future needs, visions and hopes for our Province and Congregation - a futuring exercise that has already taken place in the Eastern U.S. and English Provinces. Moving from individual reflection to work in the group, we began to describe the shape of a future that could be marked by continued passion for mission, greater unity as Congregation, and deepening in prayer and contemplation. The Assembly was facilitated by Sr. Charlotte Davenport, left top, and Sr. Rose Marie Nigro, shown with Sr. Kathleen Pruitt in the 2nd photo from top. Charlotte and Rose Marie are members of the Congregation's Big Picture Group, charged with helping us discern the path to our future. This Assembly led to lots of great conversations: in the 3rd photo from top, Srs. Elizabeth Linnane and Kathy Swingle listen to Sr. Connie Krieger's views. In the 4th photo Associate Doug Johnson explains his table's thinking while pre-candidate Cynthia Brown shows their chosen themes. The Assembly included plentiful opportunities for celebration and fun, as well as for good work. We celebrated our Jubilarians at dinner and ended up the evening with a lively dance. Click on the links to share the fun! On Sunday we celebrated 25 years of the Associate program in our morning prayer, heard from Congregation Leaders Sheila Lemieux and Terry Donohue and learned about the good work being done at Jubilee Women's Center and PeaceHealth. A wonderful weekend was had by all, even those who forgot to wear green on St. Patrick's Day. |
