Critical Needs in Haiti - Hurricane Matthew

Learn how you can support the efforts of CRUDEM/Hôpital Sacré-Coeur to respond to the critical needs of the people of Haiti in the wake of Hurricane Matthew. CRUDEM is a program of Holy Name Medical Center, a CSJP sponsored ministry. Sisters Maureen Boggins and Ann Crawley live and minister in Milot, Haiti.

Ministry of Presence with Refugees in Calais

This summer and autumn, four CSJP representatives will travel to Calais, France to support and engage in a ministry of presence with refugees living in a refugee camp popularly known as "the jungle." The camp supports refugees from various nations who are there in the hopes of gaining access to a new life in the UK where most refugees have family or friends. Our CSJP presence in Calais is a response to our Chapter Call to radical hospitality and our Congregation Statement, Welcome Immigrants and Refugees.

In response to recent killings in our communities, our Congregation Leadership Team issued a statement that calls on all of us to respond to this time of challenge by considering how our charism calls us to live our charism in the face of such violence that we might become "peace in our families, our church and our societies."
