Associate Covenanting 2017

Associates of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace are people who live our spirit and mission in their different ways of life. Associates commit to an ongoing mutual relationship with CSJP Sisters and their charism of peace through justice by promoting peace in family life, in the Church, and in society. March 19, the Feast of St. Joseph, was the day when Associates and Sisters of the Eastern Region gathered to celebrate Covenanting Day!

Our Congregation Leadership Team sent a letter to President Trump sharing our Congregational Statement on welcoming immigrants and refugees and expressing deep concern about some of his actions during his first week in office.

Prayer for the Inauguration, 2017

We join with people of peace in the United States and around the globe this day, praying for our democracy, our people and earth community, and our elected leaders.

The Calais Group Report to the Congregation

Four CSJPs, Sister Sheena George and Associates Donna Clifford, Bryan Johns, and Frank McCann, represented the Congregation at the refugee camp in Calais, France from the beginning of August through October. Remember in Prayer - Sister Kristin Funari, CSJP

Sister Kristin Funari, CSJP, our Assistant Congregation Leader, passed away on Friday, November 11th at our infirmary in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. We are grateful for the outpouring of loving memories and support from those whose lives were touched by Sister Kristin. Sisters return to Englewood Cliffs

Just over three weeks after they were evacuated due to a major fire at St. Michael Villa, our eastern regional center, the majority of the sisters returned home to Englewood Cliffs.

Peace Care - 2 CSJP Ministries in New Jersey Unite

We are excited to share the news that two of our sponsored ministries in Jersey City, NJ, Cusack Care Center and St. Ann's Home, are uniting under Peace Care, Inc., a new not for profit corporation sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace that will allow both locations to continue their combined 230 years of quality care.

Fire at St. Michael Villa

Fire at St. Michael Villa

We are sad to report that St. Michael Villa, our eastern regional center in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey and home to many of our retired sisters, was seriously damaged by a fire on Wednesday, October 12. All of the sisters and staff are safe. The sisters will live in temporary housing while we begin recovery efforts. We wish to express our gratitude to the police, fire, and emergency departments for their rapid response.
